LUSTRE: Lustre finish is what you think of in as standard finish. One that you’ve seen on photographs forever. It is a smooth gloss finish.
This finish is usually reserved for smaller gift sized portraits, the in between size of an 11 x 14 and all promotional or value priced images.
Generally Lustre finish images will be matted and framed or chosen when the added expense of a custom finish is not desired on gift images.
CANVAS: Canvas finish is what you will find in “art” in galleries. It has a texture and may also have an additional brush stroke of acrylic applied to the surface for additional texture.
This finish is reserved for the larger wall sized images used as wall décor (with a few exceptions). There are several types of canvas texture and our clients expect our artist to select the best finish for the portraits they have invested in.
