As seen through my eyes
It seems that everyone today is blogging. Some blogs are useful while others are just blah, blah, blah…
Our blog is dedicated to sharing experiences we’ve had with our child and family photography and sometimes just good old fashioned wisdom and some fun stuff too.
I know you’re time is valuable so I promise not to make the post too long while still having content that is valuable to you and that may bring a smile to your face on occasion.
Thank you for following our blog – we hope to meet you soon.
A little side disclaimer: occasionally a blog post may get long but it’ll be important if it is

Children playing with toys
I went to a movie a few days ago and while watching the previews for upcoming attractions it suddenly occurred to me that the toys our kids play with today will be in the movies in the future.
There is a movie (part 2 no less) about Transformers. I remember my son who is now 23 years old, playing with transformer cars when he was just a little guy. Then there is a one coming out called “Real Steel” – I declare it reminds me of the Rock em’ Sock em’ Robots of my youth. And of course, all the marvel comic adventures that are now showing up in the movie theater are from as far back as my father’s youth.
Imagination – is a wonderful thing. I know you’ve heard the expression “if you can imagine it – it can be”. This sort of makes me think of that saying. I know it’s just in the movies but someone had to imagine it to begin with for the toy to even be made right?
So what is the point of this particular blog posting? Being in a creative field myself, I like to encourage children to be imaginative. I think it’s a great way to exercise the mind and to escape from the harshness of reality sometimes. These amazingly successful ideas that once were simply in someone’s imagination, became toys and now entertainment for adults and kids alike.
Imagine that!

NEWBORN baby
Everyone loves a baby. I believe its because when we see a baby, especially a sleeping newborn baby, it touches our soul reminds us of a promise for a new tomorrow. There simply is nothing sweeter than a tiny little baby in your hands.
We met little Joshua and we welcome him into this world. He’s all shiny and new
There is a trend in the photography industry today that may mean trouble for some and success for others.
While we (photographers) all got into this field because we love to take pictures, there is so much more to having a successful business and becoming a really good photographer than just buying a decent little DSLR camera and getting your business license.
As a client, wouldn’t you rather develop a relationship with your photographer – someone who you can share what is important to you and what you see in your family that is important to you – than to have to try to reconnect every time you want a portrait made?
It takes a lot of training and hard work to really make a successful business out of photography. I’m on many facebook groups for photographers and I offer coaching for small business owners because I believe it is my duty as a seasoned professional, to reach out and help those who want it.
My goal has always been to develop loyal clients that I could give my all to through the creative process of photography. One of my favorite expressions is “I expect it”. Having a high expectation of what we are able to deliver to the client is what sets us apart from many studios. We push ourselves to continue to learn new ways of doing things, to always be developing new products for our clients and above all setting high standards for our employees and providing exceptional customer service e is the backbone of our success.
I was recently approved to be a part of the site listed below. It is full of useful information for the consumer looking for a “qualified” photographer.
