Be still my Heart
Remember the first time your little one was just about to take their first steps and you were holding onto their hands? You had to “let go”…just let them do it all on their own …remember? You’ll never forget what that felt like. During your child’s life you’ll experience that feeling so many times.
From the first time they for off to school by themselves, to when they drive the car by themselves for the first time, their first heartbreak, their first big accomplishment – there will be so many times in your child’s life that will remind you of the first time you had to “let go”…
Watching your children grow up, learn, and become wonderful young people is one of the greatest joys in a parents life. It has been my pleasure over the years to photograph children throughout their lives. Each time they come in we love to hear about what has happened since the last time we saw them. This past year I had the privileged of photograph several kids as high school seniors that I photographed for the first time when they were a year old.
I ran into a lady just the other day who mentioned I had photographed her grandchild 11 years ago when she was 2. She said she has enjoyed looking at that portrait on her wall all these years. It was the sweetest compliment to hear that. I hope I will have the pleasure of doing something like that for all of you. I know I love looking at the images of my son year after year…and there are still many years to come.
